EMS Ordinance Work Session

The County Commission passed an EMS Ordinance at their last commission meeting. This ordinance implemented a 2% fee starting January 1st on lodging, camping, recreation activities, tickets, equipment rentals, etc.

Finding a funding source for the Ambulance Authority has been a top concern for the County Commission, since removing the $50 EMS fee on residents. This ordinance will be a 2% fee for the local businesses to collect and remit to the County Commission. Please review the ordinance and plan to join the work session on Dec. 4th. This an opportunity to express any questions or concerns around the ordinance with the commission.
